ANZ today encouraged small business operators across Sydney to plan for success in the current economic climate and take advantage of a free workshop ANZ will hold for small business operators next week.

The ‘Cash Flow Management’ workshop will be held in Sydney on Thursday 28 May 2009 (more scheduled for July) facilitated by CAD Partners. The workshop will provide small businesses with strategies for taking control of their cash flow during the challenging economic environment and beyond.

ANZ General Manager, Small Business Banking, Nick Reade said the free workshop was open to all small business owners, including ANZ customers and non customers, and encouraged people to register as soon as possible via ANZ’s small business hub at www.thesbhub.com.au as seats were limited.

“Taking control of your cash flow has never been more important for small business. The workshop will help businesses understand strategies and tactics they can employ to ensure they remain in charge of their finances and drive profitability, especially during the current economic downturn,” Mr Reade said.

“The workshop also provides a great opportunity for small businesses to network and meet other like-minded business operators.”

The session will be held on Thursday 28 May from 9am to 11am at Cliftons, Level 2, 200 George Street, Sydney. All attendees will be entered into the draw to win a free profit and cash flow health check on their company financials from CAD partners.

The workshop is part of ANZ’s national workshop program including a range of free workshops that have been designed to provide small business owners with relevant information and tools, along with valuable insights from industry leaders on successfully managing a small business.

The national small business workshop program features industry experts from GoogleTM, Marketing Angels® and businessplans.com.au, along with ANZ’s own small business specialists. Other workshops will also address: online and email marketing, improving brand awareness, generating and nurturing leads and targeted cash flow solutions.

Additional workshops will also be held in Sydney in July.
